Communication quality

Silence…  Body never lies! Non verbal indicates relations’ quality & intention

Between 80 and 93% of communication impact is non verbal. In other words, what’s actually left behind your communication is mostly included in what you actually did not say. Why then continue working on the content that we like so much?

We believe most of non verbal information is genuine and is a simple reflection of the inner state.

Babies, that you were, are experts in decoding parents’ inner state through external signs, not through the words. So does your best friend dog. We all used to be experts in non verbal communication..

In fact, we know non verbal communication represents the quality of the relation you have with peers, with partner or with an audience. And quality of interactions makes the success of teams and projects. Most recent literature on leadership systematically emphasizes leader’s soft skills in relations. Systemic approaches similarly look at quality of interactions.

In coaching, working on body language does not mean changing spontaneous attitudes.

The purpose is to align the dynamics of say your hands, shoulders or eyes with the content of your speech and your internal emotional state and intention. Impact of your message becomes tremendously boosted. Similarly working on your voice, like singers do, dramatically improves body attitude and vocal impact, along with charisma, credibility, and determination, to say a few.

Investing in non verbal impact more that in content generates outstanding results in leadership alignment, influence on others, charisma, public speaking or of course job interviews. In parallel, capturing non verbal messages from colleagues also prevents power games, unnecessary confrontations and conflicts. It emphasizes genuine intentions and constructive dialogues.

The PARETO law or principle of the 80/20 ratio is much appreciated in time management.

We believe applying the principle to Communication Effort instead generates fast & unexpected outcomes..People inspiring others are usually the persons whose non verbal behaviours confirm and reinforce the content of their verbal expression.
