Clients and partners should really go through the specificities herebelow. I indeed take lots of pleasure in exercising them in my daily coaching practice with people and organisations. They clearly are my strengths, and simply represent my added value for the client, my competitive advantage, and complementarity with partners.
Active Listener
I operate Active Listening on four levels of listening : verbal, non verbal, the impact of the other on me, and the overall systemic picture from above. I developed this global listening attitude over years since my Veterinary studies. The Coach needs to dare engaging in unknown territories, even for him/her. Coaching is also daring to be scared. It’s precisely because areas still were unexplored that development tracks weren’t identified yet by the coachee. I travel into that unexplored reality with the coachee. Gentleman FRamer©
The coach is in charge of the frame of the coaching sessions. Not the content, which is exclusively brought by the coachee. The coach remains within the frame of the overall task. Objectives are being defined with and by the coachee/HR. In all cases, the coaching sessions are stamped with Respect, Empathy and Benevolence.
In that sense of constant framing and benevolence, I like calling the Coach the “Company Gentleman FRamer”. See my chronicle on this.

A Sense of Diagnosis
means going straight to what’s essential to the Coachee, thanks to Active Listening. Active Listening allows the filtration of interferences and parasites, sometimes deeply anchored, and the focus on the essence of the coachee’s challenge.
The combination of Analytical and Systemic Thinking.
Analytical thinking is linear, binar, disjunctive, and likes explanations and justifications. That is the Consultant approach.
The systemic thinking is conjonctive, relational, resources- and future- oriented. That is the approach of Coaching and also that of Change.The beauty is an optimal combination of both.
Ethics and professional secret are fundamental conditions in Coaching, starting with the triangular relation between coachee, HR, and coach.

I make sure I prevent myself from falling into transfer or counter-transfer phenomenon towards or from my coachees. I do organize inter-vision.
